Anybody know?

Patty sent me this photo today, wondering who they were? I think it looks like Grandma Gifford... Anyone have an idea? I've never seen a photo of Grandpa Gifford, but I think the man looks like a version of Grandma Elsie's brothers...
Edited 2/22/07:
Aunt Sherry has confirmed this is a photo of Henry and Lura Gifford, our Great-Grandparents, circa 1942. Thanks Sherry!

I think it the grandparents Gifford as well. Her shoes look familiar as well as her hair tho I remember it pulled back into a bun. So this picture was before my memory. I don't have any memories of grandpa Gifford I know he died before I was born in a fire.

Sherry Anstine says it is Grandpa Henery and Grandma Lura Gifford. Taken when their 5 sons went to War,1942, Eben, Floyd, Leonard, Orville left first, Uncle Bob the baby of the family joined in 44 or 45. Grandpa died when he caught is long johns on fire starting the wood stove, the kerosene can exploded. He passed away right when dad came home from the war, fall of 45. Mom and dad took a train to Colorado after they found dad some clothes that would fit. He wore a boys size 14, he was terribly thin.

I have some pictures of Grandpa and Grandma, professional photo's will share with you and there is one with Grandma, Barbara and Mike (in the high chair) taken when we lived on Fate's Farm south of York. I remember Grandpa as onery. He got two fingers cut off in the cornpicker, I believe, any way he would chase us kids and try to pinch us with his pinchers, that is what we called his short fingers. Grandpa and Grandma lived in Colo. so we didn't get to spend a lot of time with them. After grandpa died grandma did some home nursing care. I never forgot the one she told me about, a young woman taken prisner by the Japs and torchered. They cut out her tongue and cut off her arms, grandma said she taught herself how to type with her toes to support herself, isn't that fantastic? I used to do Grandma's hair she loved to have me bruch her hair. Another thing I remember is Grandma's corn fritters, she made these on our wood cook stove and we ate them with real maple syrup, yummy, yummy. Grandma stayed with us quite a bit in those years. It was always lovely to have her around. She taught me a lot.
